An
avid video game fan, also known
in the industry as a "Gamer",
contacted FIX Systems with a
challenge to help him overcome
lacking a right hand. Two hands
are needed to operate the triggers
located on the underside of
the Xbox controller. With his
right arm ending at the wrist,
the right trigger was not easily
accesible.
The FIX associate leading
this project designed a modified
controller that made the functions
of both triggers available on
the left side. A button was
mounted to the controller case
and activated with the ring
finger of the left hand. The
button was soldered to the pc
board activating the right trigger.
Our client was thrilled with
the results! And we were happy
to have FIXed his challenge.
